The biggest film of 2010 is here, “Iron Man 2”.

Just like any movie, Iron Man 2 has its hits and misses.

Let’s start with the MISSES. At some point, the story feels a bit rushed and most of the characters (except Iron Man) lacks, screen time, character development and purpose.

The character of Whiplash feels half baked with one line dialogues every 10 minutes.

The film and final battle(s) lacks the magic and dramatic closure unlike the 1st film.  You don't feel the angry and drama of the main villain Ivan Vanko (Whiplash) against Tony Stark.

Whiplash survives being rammed by a car 3 times!

IMAX version is not 3D even in the USA.

The movie producers should hire a better computer consultant since the computer software running on the villain’s personal computer is so unrealistic.  The villain’s personal computer even shows a 3 way video conference of Tony Stark arguing with Pepper Potts and another character! How the hell did that happen?

SPOILER:
Whiplash gained control of War Machine but forgot to turn off the unit’s microphone giving Rhodey the chance to warn Iron Man of Whiplash’s tactics is utterly stupid.

And the last of the “misses”… Iron Man against Droids isn’t all that much fun =(

NOW ONTO THE HITS!

Perfect Cast! Everyone was cast for the right role!

Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is HOT!

Don Cheadle replaces Terrence Howard as Rhodey - War Machine and gave the movie a more serious War Machine which I think is a right decision for Marvel Studios.

Unlike the first movie, the 2nd movie has much  more of everything you’d expect from a top notch movie - more romance, a lots of action and a lot of memorable lines especially by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) who is more comical now and less serious on this 2nd film.

Threes a SECRET ENDING right after the credits that involves another AVENGER!

Iron Man 2 will start showing on May 5 to 7 on Germany, Canada, Finland and the United States.  We get to watch it nearly a week earlier!
 
CONCERNS:

There is suppose to be a sneak peak of Mandarin but I couldn't find it. Can anyone help me on this?

CONCLUSION:

Taking everything into consideration, Iron Man 2 losses on story but wins on action and effects! It’s not as memorable as the first Iron Man Movie but still contains 95% of the magic and action of the first movie.

Even with the minor “misses”, the film is still a top notch, entertaining must watch film which should be watched at least 3 times just to take in all of the fast pace action and special effects!

If only Black Widow, Nick Fury and ______ was given more screen time but that’s a job for the ULTIMATE AVENGERS MOVIE in 2012!
